Grading Scale
Grading Scale:
A Grade (Standard): these are pins with some to no imprefections. May contain slight scuffs or scratches from the enamel buffing process or slightly underfilled enamel that is not apparent. Also includes light dings in the metal. Minor and not noticeable dust in soft enamel. Slight glitter defects. May have some slight wiggle to the post
B Grade: may have some plating or enamel defects but no major defects. Defects are more noticeable. Off printed screenprint, or slightly rubbed off screenprint. Enamel staining and overfill enamel. Back posts could be more wiggly. More glitter defects
C Grade or seconds: multiple major defects or major defects that could include, major scuffing, huge missing enamel pieces, discolored enamel, pieces of enamel are under or overfilled, glitter misapplied or defective, very wiggly back posts.
DISCLAIMER: Please note enamel pins are handmade so flaws are likely. Grading goes not include grading the back of the pin or the sides of the pin. Only issues that affect the front appearance. Please note that pin grading is very subjective and grading is usually affected by the quality of the batch.
